About Barrels of Love

Barrels of Love began back in 2013 as a way to help local food pantries restock after the holiday rush. Spearheaded by Toray's Wendy Taylor and Daikin America's Forrest Keith, companies from across the Decatur/Morgan County area joined the effort to raise non-perishable food items for the Salvation Army of Decatur, the Committee on Church Cooperation (CCC) and the Backpack Feeding Programs at Decatur City and Morgan County Schools.

Led by a team of faithful volunteers from the local business community, donations have topped the 100,000 item mark for the past several years and many thousands of lives have been touched by having healthy, nutritional non-perishable food available during times of need.

Blue Diamond has also been an instrumental partner, donating more than 50,000 items to the campaign over the past several years. Thanks Blue Diamond! And thank you to ALL our local individuals, companies, industries, businesses, churches, schools and non-profits who support this vital effort each year.

Finally, thank you to the City of Decatur for its support and making Ingall's Harbor Pavilion available for our collection day each year!
